Brave

Brave, Film Review, Movie Review, The Flawed GuruTime to bring out another review from the archives, and this time from 2012 with Brave! Though as usual I’ve updated it, as of course I recently re-watched it, and that’s always a good time to bring reviews back out for a refresh.

When your girl tells you she hasn’t seen many films, but loves them, it just means you have the great chance of showing her so many cool movies that I love. The only real problem that comes up though is where to start, especially when you’re a massive film buff and so you want to show her everything?

Well my first question beard fruit, as I asked how many Pixar films she had seen, and she said not many! So I listed off a few, and of the ones she hadn’t seen, I thought Brave was a great choice. Why? Well it’s about a strong female protagonist with cool hair, and if my girl dyed her hair ginger, she’d make a great cosplayer dressed as Merida!

Brave, Film Review, Movie Review, The Flawed GuruWith 11 number one hit movies ranging from great to amazing, it was always going to be hard for Pixar to keep that up. So when Cars 2 came out it was their 12th number one film, but despite that, it was sadly Pixar’s first bad movie. So when Brave came out, their 13th film, which can be an unlucky number, I did hold my breath hoping it wouldn’t be unlucky, and actually get them back on track.

Well, not only was Brave, Pixar’s, 13th number one hit in a row, I’m glad to say it shows they are back on track with making awesome films again! So yeah, I fricken loved Brave! Also any trailers you’ve seen of it only shows parts from the first 30 minutes, so the next 60 minutes will be a pleasant surprise, I promise! Anyone who might hate on it might still have a sour taste from Cars 2, but rest assured Pixar are back baby!

As for what my girl thought of it? Well, she loved it as well, and I really enjoyed getting the chance to show her it for the first time, and now I can’t wait to do the same with many more awesome films!

9 out of 10 from me!!!
