Ride Along 2

Ride Along 2, Film, Movie, Review, The Flawed GuruWhen going to see a film, that happens to be a sequel, it’s never a good thing when you have nearly no memory of the first film. In fact, the only thing I do remember of the first film was that it starred Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, with the latter going out with the formers rather hot younger sister. Of course hilarity ensues, though I don’t remember any of that aforementioned hilarity, which must mean it can’t have been that good.

The trailer seemed to be ok for this follow up film, but you never know with such things, as it could be showing the best bits, or holding back and only showing enough to get you interested. Also with follow ups, you never know what it could deliver. It could be a cash grab and a poor follow up, a solid and equally as good entry, or one of those rare films that is actually better than the first. Sadly, this film was very much in the cash grab area.

Now, like I said, I don’t really remember the first film, so it’s hard to say how much worse this film was. But I remember the first being just decent, though clearly not good enough to stay in my mind. Whereas this one was just plain average in every single way, and boarded on bad in other ways. I was board throughout, and even found myself just steering off into the distance at times, which is NEVER a good thing. To sum up, don’t see this at the cinema, and you could even ignore it all together unless you see it on TV and there’s just nothing else to watch.

6 out of 10 from me!!!
